Their mobile app and web-based game SuperBetter are leading the way in helping people manage depression, anxiety, chronic pain and stress. She has worked with the Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Army to use games for treatment, and with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to improve medical research.

Jane McGonigal is Director of Game Research and Development at the Institute For The Future (IFTF) in Palo Alto, California, and one of the leading voices on the engagement economy and the application of game design in the real world.
