Andreas Ridder studied law in Vienna and then completed a trainee program at the former Creditanstalt. After this program, he worked in the Investment Banking division of Creditanstalt. About a year later, he moved to the bank’s real estate division. After two more years at the bank, he decided to do an MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. In 1991, he opened the branch in Vienna for CBRE (then still Richard Ellis). From this base, branches were opened throughout the CEE region over the years, which he managed. Today, CBRE is the absolute market leader in this region. He particularly enjoys brokering large investment transactions and looking after long-standing clients, an area in which he is still very active today.
