In the 1970s, Viktor Wagner and one employee founded REIWAG Facility Services GmbH with very little equity capital (see website www.reiwag.com ). By 2025, his equity-financed group of companies had generated revenue of €105 million, employed 3,500 people, and operated in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, and Serbia. As early as 1991, he ventured into what was then Czechoslovakia as an “Eastern Pioneer” and established a branch office. Subsequently, in 1996, a joint-stock company for street cleaning and waste collection was founded in partnership with the City of Prague, in which REIWAG holds a 56% majority stake. In 2022, REIWAG invested as the lead investor in LionsBot, a Singapore-based company that manufactures robots for the cleaning industry. REIWAG is also a founding member of the Vienna Private Clinic, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.
