Sigmar Gabriel

Sigmar Gabriel is former Federal Foreign Minister, Chairman of Atlantik-Brücke and a convinced European. He has been politically active since his youth and has been a member of the SPD since 1977. He was Minister President of Lower Saxony from 1999 to 2003 and a member of the German Bundestag for 14 years from 2005. As a member of the Federal Government, he was Federal Minister for the Environment (2005-2009), Federal Minister for Economic Affairs (2013-2017) and Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs (2017-2018). He was Vice-Chancellor from 2013 to 2018 and also Chairman of the SPD from 2009 to 2017. Sigmar Gabriel is one of the most influential German politicians of recent decades, achieving top ratings in the electorate within just a few months in the office of Federal Foreign Minister. Even after the end of his political career, he is still passionate, direct and competent when it comes to Europe’s role in an uncomfortable world – and does not shy away from clear words.

Philipp Hildebrand

Philipp Hildebrand is the Vice Chairman of BlackRock and a member of the company’s Global Executive Committee. He leads the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), which provides insights on macroeconomics, sustainable investing, geopolitics and portfolio construction to help BlackRock’s portfolio managers and clients navigate the financial markets. Before joining BlackRock in 2012, Mr. Hildebrand was Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). In this role, he was also Director of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Swiss Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), of which the G20 leaders appointed him Vice-Chairman in 2011. Previously, Mr. Hildebrand was Chief Investment Officer of a Swiss private bank and a partner at Moore Capital Management in London. Mr. Hildebrand is also actively involved in various organizations such as the British Museum and the Zurich Art Society. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, a Master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva and a PhD from the University of Oxford.

Paul Collier

Paul Collier is a renowned British economist known for his research on African economies and developing countries. As Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for African Economies at the University of Oxford, he has made significant contributions in this field. Collier has received several awards for his work, including the A.SK Social Science Award from the Social Science Research Center Berlin and the German Business Book Prize for his work “Social Capitalism!”. He is also the author of books such as “Exodus: Why we need to re-regulate immigration”, in which he examines the economic and social impact of migration.
