Philipp Hildebrand is the Vice Chairman of BlackRock and a member of the company’s Global Executive Committee. He leads the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), which provides insights on macroeconomics, sustainable investing, geopolitics and portfolio construction to help BlackRock’s portfolio managers and clients navigate the financial markets.<\/p>\n

Before joining BlackRock in 2012, Mr. Hildebrand was Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). In this role, he was also Director of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Swiss Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), of which the G20 leaders appointed him Vice-Chairman in 2011. Previously, Mr. Hildebrand was Chief Investment Officer of a Swiss private bank and a partner at Moore Capital Management in London.<\/p>\n

Mr. Hildebrand is also actively involved in various organizations such as the British Museum and the Zurich Art Society.
