Richard David Precht

Richard David Precht is one of Germany’s most prominent intellectuals.

The doctor of philosophy, publicist and honorary professor of philosophy and aesthetics at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin is best known for his popular works on philosophy.

His bestseller “Who am I – and if so, how many?” (2007) was his breakthrough with the general public. The book is an introduction to philosophy, combined with findings from brain research and psychology.

Precht regularly writes essays and columns for major newspapers. In his ZDF program “Precht”, he searches for answers to the questions of our time together with prominent guests from politics, society and culture.

He is also a welcome guest on talk shows and has co-hosted the podcast “Lanz & Precht” with Markus Lanz since 2021, one of the most listened to in the German-speaking world.
