Has headed the Vienna-based think tank Agenda Austria, which deals with relevant economic policy issues, since February 2013. Franz Schellhorn studied commercial sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, which he completed in 1997. Prior to his studies, he completed a banking apprenticeship at Creditanstalt in Vienna and Salzburg, but did not return to the financial sector after university, instead joining the daily newspaper “Die Presse”, where he would work for 15 years. From 2004 to 2013, Franz Schellhorn was head of the business department at “Die Presse”, and from 2011 he was also a member of the editorial board. Franz Schellhorn completed his doctorate in 2004 while working for “Die Presse”.
